GrailBet Esports Betting

Counter-Strike, Dota 2, League of Legends, Valorant and Call of Duty: the titles, markets and live options in the GrailBet esports section.

Esports have their own rhythm: map vetoes, economy rounds, drafts and comebacks that turn a series in minutes. The esports section at GrailBet sits inside the Betby-powered sportsbook, so you bet from the same account and balance you use for football or the casino.

This guide looks at the five titles we cover, the markets you are likely to see on each and how live esports betting differs from traditional sports. For the wider picture of sports, bet types and odds, see our GrailBet Sportsbook overview.

Coverage focuses on five of the most followed competitive games. The number of events changes with the tournament calendar, so some weeks are busier than others.

Shooters and MOBAs bet differently

In Counter-Strike and Valorant, maps are split into rounds, so markets often revolve around rounds won and map totals. In Dota 2 and League of Legends, each game is one continuous match, so markets tend to focus on the game winner and in-game objectives where offered.

Common esports market types

The exact list depends on the title and the event. Bigger tournaments usually carry more markets than qualifiers. Typical types include:

  • Match winner — which team wins the series.
  • Map or game winner — who takes a specific map or game in the series.
  • Correct score — the final series score, such as 2–1.
  • Map handicap — one team starts with a virtual map advantage or deficit.
  • Totals — whether the number of maps, games or rounds goes over or under a line.

Odds are shown in decimal format. A $10 stake on a team at 1.75 returns $17.50 if they win the series: your $10 back plus $7.50 profit.

Live esports betting

Many esports series can be bet on while they are being played. Prices move as rounds, maps and games are won, and markets may pause briefly during pivotal moments or technical breaks before reopening at new odds.

If you are watching the stream on an official tournament channel, you may see events slightly before or after the odds react. Always check the price on your bet slip before confirming. For a full explanation of moving odds and suspensions, read our GrailBet live betting guide.

Building an esports bet slip

You can place esports selections as singles or combine them in a multiple with other esports or traditional sports. In a multiple, odds are multiplied and every selection must win.

For example, three series at 1.60, 1.70 and 1.55 give combined odds of about 4.22. That would meet the minimum odds for the sports welcome bonus, where only multiples of three or more selections at combined odds of 4.00 or higher count towards 8x (deposit plus bonus) wagering within 30 days. See the GrailBet sports bonus page for the full terms and examples.

Tips for betting on esports

  • Follow roster news. Esports line-ups change often, and a stand-in player can alter a team’s chances.
  • Check the format. A best-of-one is far more unpredictable than a best-of-five.
  • Know the patch. Game updates can shift which teams and strategies are strongest.
  • Keep it proportionate. Set a budget and a fixed stake, and do not chase losses on the next series.

18+ only. Esports betting carries the same risks as any other betting. Deposit limits, session limits and self-exclusion are explained on our responsible gaming page.
